Social wellbeing

We're committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace where people can develop to the full extent of their abilities. We build enduring relationships with our people, treating them with fairness and decency at all times.

Our activities also touch the lives of our neighbours, and we forge ties with the communities where we operate characterised by mutual respect, active partnership and long term commitment. In the long run, the trust that is engendered by these solid relationships will reinforce our ability to gain preferential access to resources.

In line with our health, safety and communities  policies and associated standards, we have developed and implemented a number of practical management programmes. We continually review and improve our internal controls (standards, strategies, strategic risk reviews and business unit conformance audits) to be sure they are fit for purpose and they are being consistently implemented by all our operations. We have engaged an independent external organisation to provide assurance on selected sustainable development subject matter.
